CAPTAIN Nathan Jones says it’s a privilege to be involved again in the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) game.
Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs are proud to be participating in the 2016 Pink Lady Match, which will take place at the MCG on Sunday at 3.20pm.
This year, the game will pay tribute to Australians affected by breast cancer, while raising funds and awareness for BCNA.
The day will include a special pre-game tribute to breast cancer survivors, where 300 survivors will walk on the MCG before the game.
Jones said it was a great honour to be part of the match.
“This is our 10th year we’ve been involved, so I’m really excited to be a part of it again,” he said in a joint media conference with Western Bulldogs acting captain Easton Wood at the MCG on Monday morning.
“I think I’ve played in every game for the past 10 years and I think our club has really led the way with this association, with BCNA.
“We’re really excited about it and it’ another year of being involved with raising awareness and trying to support such a terrific cause.”
Wood echoed Jones’ sentiments.
“It’s great to be part of a great cause and to raise awareness and help people in need,” he said.
