SENIOR assistant coach Simon Goodwin says he’s relishing his role at the club this year, as he continues to build towards becoming senior coach at the end of the 2016 season.

Goodwin said he was excited about the path the club was on and was delighted to see the squad go to another level this year.

“I’ve enjoyed working in the role that I’m doing. I’ve also enjoyed working with the group of players that we’ve got,” he told Melbourne TV.

“They’re investing a lot into the way we play and their own individual games.

“We’re starting to see some results, sitting at four [wins] and four [losses], which is an exciting position to be in for the footy club.

“We’re just looking to continually improve how we play every week. Hopefully that’ll result in more and more wins on the board.”
