Matthew Richardson

One of Richmond’s all-time greats and one of its most popular players to don the yellow and black, Richardson topped the club’s goalkicking 13 times. He played 282 games from 1993-2009 and booted 800 goals. A member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame and Richmond’s Hall of Fame, Richardson is now an AFL commentator with Channel 7.

Matthew Lloyd

An Essendon great, Lloyd won the Coleman Medal three times and led the club’s goalkicking 12 times. He played 270 games and kicked 926 goals from 1995-2009. A member of Essendon’s 2000 premiership team, Lloyd was All-Australian five times. Lloyd is a member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame and is now an AFL commentator, featuring on 3AW and Channel 9’s Footy Classified.

Kevin Sheedy

One of the game’s greatest figures, Sheedy holds the VFL/AFL record for the most number of games played/coached (929). He played 251 games for Richmond from 1967-79, and coached Essendon for 635 games from 1981-2007 and GWS for 44 games from 2012-13. A former captain and three-time premiership player of Richmond, he also guided Essendon to four premierships.

Eddie McGuire

Collingwood’s president since 1998, McGuire is one of the country’s best-known media personalities. Now the longest-serving president in the game, McGuire has been an outstanding leader at the Pie and was at the helm when they won the 2010 premiership. The original host of The Footy Show from 1994-2005, he is now a host on Fox Footy, Millionaire Hot Seat and Triple M’s Hot Breakfast.

David Koch

Appointed Port Adelaide president in October 2012, Koch has been instrumental in turning the club around off the field with his strong profile on Channel 7’s Sunrise program. In his first two seasons, the Power made the finals. His background is in financial journalism and he is one of the country’s leading business and financial commentators.

Samantha Armytage

The co-host of Sunrise, Armytage joined in 2013. She started her media career with WIN Television in Canberra as a news reporter/presenter. She joined Sky News Australia in 2002, as chief political reporter and in 2003, joined the Seven Network. She was appointed co-host on Weekend Sunrise in 2007 and was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2011, before her rise on Sunrise.

Jonathan Brown

A three-time premiership player with the Brisbane Lions, Brown was one of the game’s greats of the modern era. A natural leader, he captained the Lions from 2007-13 and won three club best and fairest awards from 2007-09. He played 256 games and kicked 594 goals from 2000-14. He is now a television and radio personality, featuring on Nova FM.  

Anthony Lehmann

A popular television and radio personality, the affectionately known ‘Lehmo’ started his career as a comedian, having performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now on Gold FM, Lehmann has also appeared on such television shows as The Project, Have You Been Paying Attention and Utopia.

Cameron Ling

A three-time premiership player with Geelong – he was captain of its 2011 flag – Ling was played 246 matches and kicked 139 goals with the Cats from 2000-11. He finished his career as one of the best run-with players of the modern era and will remain one of Geelong’s most popular players of all-time. He has since become an AFL commentator with Channel 7.

Gerard Whateley

One of the country’s most respected sporting commentators and journalists, Whateley started his career with the Herald Sun, before joining Channel 10 and then Channel 7. Today, he is the co-host of AFL 360 on Fox Footy, a broadcaster on ABC Radio and on the ABC’s Offsiders. He also wrote a book on champion racehorse Black Cavier.

Dave Hughes

One of the country’s most popular comedians, Hughes appears on several television and radio shows, including Hughesy & Kate on KIIS Network, Channel 9’s The Footy Show and Australia’s Got Talent. A regular of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Hughes also appeared on such shows as The Glasshouse, The Panel, Before the Game, Spicks & Specks and Rove Live.
