FOLLOWING the trip to Alice Springs, where the Demons lost to the NT Thunder, Maddie Shevlin has been named the King Gee Trademark Player of the Week.

Coach Damien Keeping was impressed by Shevlin’s run and carry skills, which included a five bounce run into the forward 50.

“Maddie’s effort to drive with ball in hand returned a high metres gained game and opened play up, enabling effective movement of the ball to attacking space. 

“Off-field Maddie’s contribution to her team and club continues to set the standard.

“The care she puts into making the experience of others as positive as it can be, has been amazing to watch and well recognised right throughout the club.”
