MITCH White suffered an AC joint injury just 10 weeks ago and on Saturday he made a successful return in Casey’s 91-point win over the Blues.
After a strong start to the season, the Demons vice-captain damaged his shoulder against Port Melbourne in round eight, but after undergoing a strong rehab, White was able to play a key role up forward in his comeback match.

White booted three goals from his 18 disposals and most importantly, got through the game unscathed.
“I was a bit gassed towards the end but the boys put in the effort for four quarters, so it was good to come back,” White told Melbourne Media.
“I had a couple of niggles everywhere else so it took the mind away from the shoulder, but it’s feeling good so I’m confident with it.”
Casey coach Jade Rawlings was thrilled to see his leader back on the field, admitting there were concerns surrounding White’s return this season.
“We were absolutely wrapped with Whitey,” Rawlings said.
“He played at Seaford last week just to get a run, but it was more about the effort he put into his rehab to be ready by this part of the year.
“We didn’t think he’d be available by this stage so for him to be able to get a game in at local footy and play the way he did, it gives us lots of options moving forward now that he’s back and performing well.”
Casey has won its past 11 matches and White is thrilled to slot back into the successful side.
“It’s pretty easy to come back in when the team is playing that well,” White said.
“The boys are just putting on a show every week.
“It’s not pretty always but we’re just doing the team things and playing hard, tough footy.
The Demons have lost just one match at Casey Fields since the start of last season and White says they are looking to continue the domination at home.
“It’s tough to come out to Casey and play us, and that’s the way we like it,” he said.
Casey sit in second position on the ladder with just three games left prior to finals.
