MELBOURNE star Clayton Oliver has been named in the centre of the AFL Players Association’s 22Under22 team for 2019.
The side, featuring some of the game’s best young talent, is voted purely by the fans, recognising the achievements of players to this stage of their careers.
Oliver, aged 22, has been selected in the side for a third consecutive year, acknowledging his sensational season for the Dees.
The midfielder averaged 30 disposals per game throughout 2019 and has the third highest average disposal tally of any player in the league across his career.
He also had the most contested possessions in the competition, and the second most handballs during the home and away season.
Oliver was selected alongside some stars of the league, with Harris Andrews (captain) and Josh Dunkley (vice-captain) named as the leaders of the team.
