MELBOURNE will now play its first intra-club match at 3pm on Friday, February 17 at Casey Fields.
The hit-out will be the week before Melbourne’s first NAB Cup fixture against Gold Coast Suns and Brisbane Lions at Metricon Stadium.
The Dees will play the two Queensland-based teams on Saturday, February 25.
Melbourne will then take on Collingwood at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, March 3 at 7.40pm in its second NAB Cup encounter.
In the third round, the Demons will play Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, March 10 at 5.40pm.
Melbourne’s three NAB Cup matches will be broadcast on Fox.
The NAB Cup grand final will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 7.40pm.
The premiership season starts on Saturday, March 24, featuring GWS Giants and Sydney Swans at ANZ Stadium.
But Melbourne’s season proper kicks off against Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Saturday, March 31.
