MELBOURNE has made two list changes ahead of the 2020 season, delisting Jeff Garlett and Declan Keilty on Tuesday afternoon.

After spending five seasons in the red and blue, Garlett will be departing the Dees with 185 career matches to his name.

The 30-year-old was originally drafted to Carlton as a rookie in 2009, playing 107 games for the Blues before making the move to Melbourne.

Garlett has been a fantastic contributor for the Demons since joining the club at the end of the 2014 season, with his highlight coming in 2017 when he led the club’s goal kicking with 42 majors.

The dangerous small forward slotted 321 goals over the course of his career and was a reliable contributor to his second club during the 78 games he played.

Keilty is also leaving the Dees after spending three years on the rookie list.

The versatile 194cm tall was drafted out of the Casey Demons, showing steady development over a long period of time.

After playing 64 VFL games without reward, Keilty finally made his senior debut in Round 7 this season, being selected as a key forward against the Hawks.

The 24-year-old was a part of a winning side in both of his AFL appearances (against Hawthorn and Gold Coast), but finished the year off with Casey.

Melbourne has now seen four players depart the club post-season, with Jordan Lewis and Corey Maynard announcing their retirements in recent weeks.
