JACK Viney left training early on Friday morning after experiencing hamstring tightness, casting doubt over the Melbourne midfielder's availability for Sunday's clash against Adelaide at the MCG.
Viney was out on Gosch's Paddock for the Demons' main training session for no more than 15 minutes before leaving the track to receive some treatment away from prying eyes.
After getting some medical attention, he then walked back to the club's AAMI Park headquarters and took no further part in the session.
The Demons will have more information on his status for Sunday's game after lunchtime on Friday afternoon.
If Viney, who has averaged a career-high 26.4 disposals per game in 2016, is declared fit for the contest against the Crows the Demons will name him in their final team later on Friday evening.
Jeff Garlett will be recalled after two weeks in the VFL to add some much-needed scoring power against the Crows.
Matt Jones and James Harmes are also in the mix to replace Clayton Oliver (omitted) and Josh Wagner (knee), as Melbourne's match committee weighs up how many changes to make in the lead up to Sunday.
