MELBOURNE congratulates Andrew McQualter on his appointment as senior coach of the West Coast Eagles Football Club.
McQualter joined the Demons following the 2023 season and has spent the past 12 months working with the club’s AFL midfield group.
General Manager of AFL Football Performance Alan Richardson thanked McQualter for his contribution over the past season.
“Andrew has had significant impact on our club since joining us last year,” Richardson said.
“He brought a new perspective to our coaching panel, and this, mixed with his direction and clarity to players, was incredibly beneficial to our program.
“Andrew built some strong relationships, within both football and administration, and while we’re sad to see him go, we’re thrilled to see him get this opportunity.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, we wish Mini, his wife Jane, and their daughters Emily, Alice, and Georgia all the best as they embark on this next journey.”
