MELBOURNE will unleash the talent of new Demon Lily Johnson this week, the off-season acquisition set to make her red and blue debut on Friday.

The 20-year-old first arrived at the Dees last year during the AFLW’s sign and trade period, coming across from two seasons at Port Adelaide.

Hailing from Tasmania, Johnson played five senior games at the Power, having made her debut during season seven.

Despite a minor setback with an Achilles concern, the classy player has been building her strength at training, developing her craft along the wing and off half-back. She’s become known for her silky skills and versatility across the ground.

Johnson will add plenty to Melbourne’s line-up to take on Essendon at Windy Hill, with the final team to be announced on Thursday night.
