MELBOURNE’S two-point win over Geelong was made even sweeter after receiving 20 of the possible 30 AFLWCA Coaches Votes available.
Demons captain Kate Hore left GMHBA Stadium with a perfect 10 votes after her stand-out performance against the Cats, along with Blaithin Mackin who was next to be recognised, taking home seven votes.
Both Hore and Mackin impacted the scoreboard kicking four goals between them, three for Hore and one for Mackin.
The pair also recorded 23 (Hore) and 25 (Mackin) disposals each in the dominant display.
It was around the contest where the pair were noticed the most, collecting 28 contested possessions between them, bringing a true Melbourne brand of footy.
Ruck Lauren Pearce was next to receive votes, collecting two to go with her 26 hitouts, six clearances and 17 disposals.
Lastly it was rugged defender Maeve Chaplin, taking home the final vote for her performance.
Chaplin finished the night with 13 disposals, seven intercept possessions and seven contested possessions.
