Ed Langdon, Melbourne’s unstoppable runner, has renewed his contract with the Dees until at least the end of 2028.
Since Melbourne’s Round 14 bye, the speedy winger has not missed a minute of game time, with Langdon amassing 100 per cent time on-field.
Tim Lamb, Melbourne AFL List Manager, said that Langdon’s signature locked in another important player in our group.
“Ed has shown in his time with us that he is one of the most consistent, reliable players in the competition. He has a unique skill set and is a crucial cog in our team.
“He always does what’s asked of him and is a selfless teammate who understands his role. We also love what he brings to the club as a person, he is a totally unique individual who balances life outside of football with his dedication to the club.
“We’re thrilled to see him commit long-term to the journey we are on, and we’re excited to see how he can continue to grow and develop as a leader in our program.”
Langdon started his career at Fremantle but moved to Melbourne in 2020. He’s now played 107 of his 175 games with the Dees and is regarded as one of the most consistent members of the side.
He has impressed coaches with his athleticism and stamina, providing great run-and-carry out of defence.
The 28-year-old joins Daniel Turner, Harry Petty, Caleb Windsor, and Koltyn Tholstrup who have all committed to the club in recent weeks.
