BEFORE the AFLW season kicks off at the end of August, Melbourne will give fans a taste of the action in their practice and match simulation games.
On Friday 9 August, Melbourne return to IKON Park to take on Carlton, the first time the teams have gone head-to-head since Round 5 in Season 7.
For the Dees’ second practice match, the team hits the road and heads for Alberton to play Port Adelaide at home on Sunday 18 August.
This will be the first interstate club trip for a number of first-year players, and offers an opportunity to build team connection before the season starts in earnest.
Kicking off at 11am local time (11:30am AEST), this match will also be live-streamed on the club’s site.
Just 13 days later, Melbourne will face Geelong in the first game of the season on Saturday 31 August at GMHBA Stadium.
Tickets for 2024 NAB AFLW Season will be available via Ticketmaster and Ticketek, with on-sale timings to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
