ZURICH, Melbourne’s Co-Principal Partner, has once again offered its support to the Round for Reach.
A special round for the Melbourne faithful, the Reach Foundation will be honoured during the Demons’ Round 18 game against Essendon on Saturday night.
Melbourne will call upon the football community to continue the work started by club legend, the late Jim Stynes, when they take on the Bombers at the mighty MCG.
Zurich has generously donated $25,000 to Reach, kickstarting the fundraising campaign that will take place during the round.
Linda Griffin, Head of Brand, Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Zurich Australia, said it was an honour to, once again, support the dedicated match.
“We’re proud to continue our ongoing support of the annual Round for Reach for the sixth year," Griffin said.
“Jim Stynes’ legacy continues through the thousands of Reach workshops delivered each year.
“Equipping young Australians with the tools to build emotional resilience and confidence is vitally important and we’re thrilled to play a small part in supporting Reach’s work.”
The Round for Reach honours the impact of Jim Stynes, who co-founded the Reach Foundation.
The not-for-profit, founded in 1994, seeks to invest in young Australians, inspire them to reach their potential, and be their best selves.
The message for the game is “it started with Jim, it continues with you”, and all football supporters, no matter their colours, are encouraged to support Reach in their mission to improve youth mental health.
While this game is always a favourite for Dees fans, it’s also set to be a blockbuster clash. With the Dons impressing early in the season, and a finals berth on the line, there’s plenty to play for.
