KYNAN Brown will get to live out his dream of playing AFL on the hallowed turf of the MCG on Saturday night, with the young Demon confirmed to make his career debut when the Dees face the Roos.

Brown was told the exciting news on Wednesday afternoon in front of teammates and coaches, senior Demon Alex Neal-Bullen sharing the special announcement.

The skilful midfielder gets his opportunity at the top level following a number of eye-catching outings in the VFL including a three-goal haul during Round 3.

He’s set to add plenty to Melbourne’s final 23, his strength at the contest and ability to execute inside 50 both powers to his game.

The young talent arrived at the club during last year’s draft, signed on as a rookie under the father-son rule.

Saturday night will see the 19-year-old get the opportunity to continue the legacy of his father Nathan Brown, who played 146 games for the red and blue across the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

During his junior career, Brown earned himself Vic Metro’s best and fairest award for his display at the National Carnival and was celebrated for his five-goal display during finals whilst playing for the Oakleigh chargers.

Melbourne will name the remainder of its side to face North Melbourne tomorrow night.
