INS – van Rooyen, Billings, Laurie, Howes
OUTS – Hunter (inj.), Tomlinson, McAdam, Woewodin (omitted)
MELBOURNE has made four changes to its side ahead of its highly anticipated King’s Birthday clash against Collingwood.
Jacob van Rooyen will re-enter the Demon line-up after spending a week on the sidelines with discomfort to his adductor.
The forward successfully completed training this week to prove his fitness and will add plenty of inside 50 energy to the Monday team.
Jack Billings, Bailey Laurie and Blake Howes have all been called upon to bolster the Demon side after solid stints in the VFL.
Lachie Hunter will spend time on the sidelines with a calf injury, forcing him to miss the match, while Adam Tomlinson, Shane McAdam and Taj Woewodin have all been omitted.
Woewodin will join Kynan Brown and Ben Brown on the Monday emergency list.
The King’s Birthday clash is a favourite of the AFL fixture, with the country rallying around Neale Daniher and his fight against ‘The Beast’ that is Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The annual Big Freeze event is a much-loved initiative introduced by FightMND and Daniher and looks to raise important funds with the purpose of finding effective treatments and ultimately a cure for MND.

The famous Big Freeze slide will return with nine sliders set to make the icy plunge ahead of the game, with Melbourne’s Walk to the ‘G also making its comeback for 2024. To find out more on the day’s activities, click here.
