INS – McAdam (club debut), Salem, B.Brown
OUTS – Langdon (personal), van Rooyen (concussion), Turner (inj.)
NARRM has made three changes to its line-up as it prepares to head west to face Waalitj Marawar in the first weekend of Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
It was confirmed yesterday that entering the Dees team was forward Shane McAdam, who would play his first game in the red and blue, having come across to the club from Kuwarna (Adelaide) during last year’s trade period.
McAdam is known for his exciting skills and goal awareness, having kicked 72 majors across his 50 career games.
Christian Salem has also earned the call-up having spent the previous five weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Salem has been diligent through his rehab and after a number of impressive outings on the track, will no doubt provide plenty to the backline mix.
Ben Brown is the third Demon to add to the final 23, selected after a strong display in the VFL last weekend, registering 13 disposals, two goals and six marks.
Ed Langdon will miss the Sunday match due to personal reasons, while Jacob van Rooyen (concussion) and Daniel Turner (calf) both won’t make the trip across the Nullarbor due to their respective injuries.
Of the 23 named, one player will be confirmed as the Narrm substitute 60 minutes prior to the first bounce.
Adam Tomlinson, Tom Fullarton and Koltyn Tholstrup are on the Dees' emergency list.
The Sunday game will be the club’s first of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, a two-week period that looks to celebrate and honour the history and culture of the league’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players.
Narrm will be pulling on its 2024 Indigenous guernsey, designed by Arabana and Kokatha artist Mali Isabel.
The artwork on the guernsey is fittingly titled ‘My Hearts Beats True’, with a heart in the centre, it looks to honour her brother’s story of cardiomyopathy, having suffered his first cardiac arrest at just 11 years old.
Dees fans can tune into the game from 6:20pm (AEST) with live coverage available on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
