JED ADAMS has signed a new two-year contract extension with Melbourne, taking his term until at least the end of 2026.
The nineteen-year-old, originally from Western Australia, was selected at pick number 38 in the 2022 national draft and spent his first season developing his craft with Casey VFL.
The fresh deal gives the defensive prospect chance to continue to build on his capabilities, with Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb excited by the opportunity ahead.
“We are really happy that we have secured Jed for a further two years,” Lamb said.
“He is a young, developing key position player who is progressing in all aspects of his game. Jed is working really hard, and we are seeing that come out in his performances.
“As a club, we see Jed as an important part of our future and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow within our program.”
The news follows the re-signing of Demon Tom Sparrow earlier this month.
