BEN Brown has undergone knee surgery on Thursday afternoon, after scans revealed some minor damage.
Alan Richardson, GM of AFL Football Performance, provided an update on the tall forward.
“Browny developed some knee soreness and swelling in the past week,” Richardson told Melbourne Media.
“Scans have shown a loose piece of cartilage in the knee joint, and this will need to be treated with a small surgical procedure.”
Richardson confirmed that Brown would take some time before being able to return to full fitness.
“Browny is the ultimate professional, and we know he will attack his rehab program head on,” Richardson explained.
“At this stage, we expect him to be back to full fitness in approximately six to eight weeks.”
