MELBOURNE has held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday night, with the Club announcing the results of its 2023 Director Election.

With three vacancies and eight candidates, an election of directors was conducted in accordance with the Club’s constitution.

Voting for the Director Election opened on November 30 and was conducted via an online voting process until December 14, with members having received information regarding the election from CorpVote, who managed the election process on the Club’s behalf.

Club President Kate Roffey confirmed the results in her opening address at the Club’s AGM, with the following candidates confirmed as Board Members:

Geoff Porz
Sarah Robinson
Brad Green

A key part of the Club’s governance is to ensure that its Board is a group of people who have expertise in specifically identified critical skill sets that align to the Club’s strategic priorities, with Porz, Robinson and Green sitting within this requirement.

All three successful candidates were endorsed by the Melbourne Football Club Board, with Green re-elected for a second term, while Porz and Robinson were elected for their first term.

The election was held following the departure of Steve Morris and Mohan Jesudason, who finished up as board directors at the end of the season in line with the Club’s recently introduced director term limits.
