MELBOURNE has selected attacking half-forward Koltyn Tholstrup with pick No.13 in the 2023 National Draft.
The strongly-built Western Australian who hails from Esperance comes into the club with an AFL-ready body and plenty of senior football experience playing for Subiaco in the WAFL.
At 186cms and 86kgs with a strong mark and penetrating kick, Tholstrup averaged 18.3 disposals, six marks, six inside 50s and just under two tackles per match for Western Australia in the National Carnival.
Tholstrup’s powerful frame has allowed the mid-sized forward to play in key position roles up forward, and has also pinch hit through the midfield at times.
