MELBOURNE’S Rhi Watt will be looking to make a return from concussion ahead of the club’s semi-final clash against Geelong on Sunday.
Sam Batterton, AFLW Head of High-Performance, provided an update on the Demon, who spent last week on the sidelines after sustaining a concussion during Round 10.
“Rhi’s doing really well,” Batterton told Melbourne Media.
“She’s ticked off the first two sessions, she’ll train with the group today and will join full training on Thursday.
“So, if she gets through the week, then she’ll be available to play.”
Gab Colvin, who has spent time on the sidelines with Achilles soreness, has continued to work through her rehab schedule.
“Gab is making progress, albeit steady progress,” Batterton said.
“She’s looking to build through the backend of this week and into next week and we’re quite optimistic about where we can get her to."
Sarah Lampard (wrist) and Casey Sherriff (forearm) are both continuing to get involved in training despite their respective fractures.
“Sarah is contributing to quite a few drills and really getting into the football side of things, but with the one arm,” Batterton said.
“And Casey has just reintegrated into running.
“So, they’re making progress, but a bit of a frustrating position for them to be in.”
