MIDFIELDER Jack Billings will wear red and blue in 2024, joining Melbourne via a trade with St Kilda on Wednesday night.
The Demons secured the 28-year-old, who has played 155 senior games, during the closing stages of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period in exchange for a future third round selection.
Billings is set to add experience, running power and class to the Dees’ mix, as well as versatility to play in the midfield and across half-forward.
“We are thrilled to round out our Trade Period activity by welcoming Jack to the club,” Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said.
“Jack is an experienced player, who possesses an impressive skillset and high football IQ. He is an elite ball-user, and we know the sort of impact he can have at AFL level.
“Despite some injury challenges earlier this year, we are confident Jack’s best footy is ahead of him, and we look forward to seeing what he can produce as a Demon.”
Billings was selected by St Kilda with pick No.3 in the 2013 National Draft and made his AFL debut – against his new home, Melbourne – in the opening round of the following season.
He has 108 goals to his name, with a current career average of 20.5 disposals a game.
