SHANE McAdam is officially a Demon, the forward joining Melbourne via a trade with Adelaide on Tuesday morning.
The Demons secured the 28-year-old on the penultimate day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, parting ways with a future second-round selection in the deal.
McAdam, who arrives with 50 senior games and 72 goals to his name, is set to bring plenty of pace and pressure to the Dees’ forward mix, while his aerial presence will excite teammates and fans alike.
“We are thrilled to secure the services of such a talented player in Shane,” Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said.
“We know the sort of exciting, fast-paced football Shane can produce, and his skillset is one that will complement our existing group.
“We feel his best football is still ahead of him, and we look forward to seeing what he can bring to the red and blue.”
Hailing from Halls Creek in Western Australia, McAdam was first selected by Carlton as a mature-aged pre-draft access selection before joining Adelaide in 2018 and making his senior debut in 2020.
