MELBOURNE has completed a pick swap on the third day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, securing pick No.11 from the Gold Coast SUNS.
The Demons parted ways with selections 14, 27 and 35 in the deal on Wednesday, in preparation for the remaining of the period and this year’s AFL Draft.
“We were keen to move up the draft order, to maximise our ability to bring in elite talent,” Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said.
“This trade helps us achieve this.”
It follows Tuesday’s activity, where Melbourne received a future third-round selection in a trade that saw James Harmes depart for the Western Bulldogs.
