After a goodfirst half, Melbourne had a disappointing third term, failing to register agoal.
The Lionsposted the only two majors for the period and managed to cut the deficit to 26points at three quarter-time.
AlexNeal-Bullen had a set-shot just on the three quarter-time siren, but his kickmissed for a behind.

The Lionspegged the margin back to 20 points when Allen Christensen booted the firstgoal of the final term.
But when Hogankicked Melbourne’s first since the 26-minute mark of the second quarter, it wasback out to a 27-point lead.
The Lionscontinued to pepper the goals, but wasted their opportunities and in the end,Melbourne managed to secure its fifth victory of the year – its best effort ina season since 2011.
