MELBOURNE congratulates Adem Yze on his appointment as senior coach of the Richmond Football Club.
Yze joined the Demons following the 2020 season and, in a senior assistant coaching role, was charged with the responsibility of the midfield group.
He had a profound impact on the club during this time, including his involvement in Melbourne’s drought-breaking premiership of season 2021.
General Manager of Football Performance Alan Richardson thanked Yze for his time and contribution to the club over the past three seasons.
“Adem has had a significant impact on our Football Program since joining the club three years ago,” Richardson told Melbourne Media.
“His ability to read the game and the direction he was able to provide our players and coaches was first class, and we are thrilled to see him get this opportunity.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to wish Adem and his family all the very best for the future.”
Yze, who is a Life Member of the Melbourne Football Club, played 271 games for the Demons between 1995 and 2008.
