THE year is 1983, and Ron Barassi is in the midst of his second coaching stint at the Demons.
Country football coach Keith Bell, in the midst of his own coaching challenges, penned a letter to Barassi to ask to share some of his expertise.
The detailed and considered letter he received in returns, speaks to the character of the man.
"l guess, Keith, it's like everything else - in coaching you have to sell your idea," Barassi wrote.
"lt may drive you crazy, but that's the coaching caper."
