KATE Hore's talent has once again been recognised, with the skilful forward receiving the perfect ten votes from the coaches in Round 2. 

In the race for the AFLCA’s Champion Player of the Year Award, Hore has now shot to second on the leaderboard following the standout display.

Hore put together a commanding performance that inspired her team to a 77-point win in Canberra, her leadership and skills shining in the victory. 

The No.10's stats sheet was unmatched in the Sunday afternoon game as she registered 23 disposals, 11 score involvemenst, eight marks, six tackles and five goals, equalling the club’s goal record.

During Melbourne’s emphatic win over GWS, four other Demons featured in the vote-getters, with Tyla Hanks, Olivia Purcell, Sarah Lampard and Lauren Pearce all recognised.

Hanks and Purcell both led the disposal count for the match with 30 and 28 disposals respectively, while Lampard and Pearce both impressed with the execution of various roles across the ground.

GWS’ Nicola Barr rounded out the players recognised for the match receiving one vote.
