MELBOURNE has named a 24-player squad as it prepares to head to Canberra to face GWS.

The Demons will battle the Giants on Sunday afternoon, naming an extended line-up three days out from the 5:05pm clash.

Megan Fitzsimon has been ruled out of the match with a lower back injury. 

In what will be their first interstate trip of the year, they have introduced four players to the squad with Maeve Chaplin, Gab Colvin, Charlotte Wilson and Rhi Watt all named.

The final line-up of 21 will be confirmed tomorrow night at 5pm.
