MAX Gawn and Clayton Oliver remain in the top four of the AFL Coaches Association votes, despite neither polling a vote in Melbourne’s loss to Sydney on Sunday afternoon.
Ruckman Gawn, who registered 46 hit outs in the nine-point defeat, occupies third position with 80 votes. He is followed by Oliver in fourth, with his 27 disposals and 12 tackles not enough to add to his tally of 72 votes.

Sydney’s Isaac Heeney was judged best afield with a perfect 10 votes, while Jake Lloyd (seven votes), Aliir Aliir (four votes), George Hewett (three votes), Tom Papley (two votes) and Lance Franklin (one vote) were deemed the coaches’ other picks.
