MELBOURNE has named an extended line-up to face Hawthorn in its second hit-out of the pre-season.
In exciting news for Dees fans, the squad includes defender Gab Colvin, who will play in her first match since her season-ending knee injury back in June of 2022.
Putting in a magnitude of hard work, Colvin has spent the past 12 months pushing through her rehab schedule and recently returned to full training with the main group.
The Demons will face the Hawks on Saturday 19 August at Casey Fields.
It will be the club’s first ever AFLW game against Hawthorn, with all the action starting from 2:05pm (gates will open one hour before the first bounce).
The match will be livestreamed for fans who are unable to get down to Casey Fields, with the broadcast available 30 minutes prior to the first bounce on melbournefc.com.au.
Fans will be able to purchase food and drink thanks to a sausage sizzle provided by the Demon Army, while also being given the opportunity to get up close with their favourite AFLW stars in post-match boundary signings.
As a show of support for the AFL side’s BCNA Pink Lady Match on Sunday, the AFLW Demons will be donning pink socks as they take to the field on Saturday.
