INS – Oliver, Grundy
OUTS - Petty (inj.), Harmes (omitted), Hibberd (Round 21 sub, omitted)

MELBOURNE will welcome back two Demons into its starting line-up ahead of a Saturday night clash against Carlton.

In exciting news for Dees supporters, fan-favourite Clayton Oliver will make his return to the side after a stint on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The four-time best and fairest winner will re-enter the midfield make-up and add further depth as they prepare to take on the task of the Blues.

Saturday night will also see the return of Brodie Grundy after two games in Melbourne’s VFL team.

Coach Simon Goodwin has placed consistent faith in Grundy’s ability to improve his forward craft, with the tall Demon earning the opportunity to showcase his talents.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that versatile swingman Harrison Petty would be shelved for the remainder of the season due to a foot injury, while James Harmes and Michael Hibberd have been omitted from the final 22.

Harmes and Hibberd will join Charlie Spargo and Josh Schache on the emergency list for Round 22.

As both teams head into the match off the back of impressive winning streaks, Saturday night's game is highly anticipated with major implications for the run home to finals.

Originally scheduled for 7:25pm (AEST), the first bounce has now been moved to 7:30pm at the MCG.
