SIR DOUG NICHOLLS ROUND

The opening match of Sir Doug Nicholls Round will be between Yartapuulti and Narrm at Adelaide Oval. This match will be the first time in the AFL that two teams who have adopted their Indigenous name will play each other. Fans are encouraged to get to Adelaide early to witness the pre-game spectacle.
Yartapuulti have started off their season strong, sitting fourth on the ladder showing they are a real Premiership contender this year. Meanwhile Naarm, coming off a four game win streak, look to continue their hot form into this match up on Friday night.

Fans are encouraged to get down to Adelaide Oval early, before the first bounce at 7:20pm (local time). Tickets to the game can be found here.

Public Transport | Metro Disruptions

All regular Adelaide Metro weekend bus, train and tram services are free with your AFL game day ticket from first to last service on game day.
Regular Adelaide Metro weeknight bus, train and tram services are free three hours prior to the game start time with your AFL game day ticket.

Train
The Adelaide Railway Station is located on North Terrace, approximatley a five-minute walk across the Riverbank footbridge or via King William Street. For timetables and more information visit the Adelaide Metro website.

Tram
Trams operate between Glenelg and the city with stops located on North Terrace and King William Road (outside the Adelaide Festival Centre). For timetables and more information please visit the Adelaide Metro website.

Taxis
Taxi ranks are located on the western side of King William Road, the southern side of Pennington Terrace and the eastern side of Montefiore Road

Arrive early

We are encouraging fans to arrive early to Adelaide Oval to ensure supporters are inside in time for the match start.

The entry process includes security bag checks, scanning of ticket and finding your spot to enjoy the game live.

We encourage supporters to download their ticket prior to their arrival at Adelaide Oval.

 

AROUND THE GROUNDS

There will be a Pre-Match ceremony and Welcome to Country starting at 7:15pm (local time). Narrm will also be playing their team song in Woi Wurrung Language as well as the traditional version.
