MELBOURNE co-captain Jack Viney is set to take the field against Gold Coast on Saturday afternoon, returning from a shoulder injury after just one-week on the sidelines.
Viney suffered the knock against Richmond on ANZAC Day Eve, but has overcome the niggle to be included in the Demons’ side which will travel to Metricon Stadium.
The skipper’s inclusion has forced midfielder Alex Neal-Bullen out of the side, with the 23-year-old omitted after two games back at senior level.
Neal-Bullen will join the emergency list this week, alongside Harry Petty, Tim Smith and Corey Wagner.
For the first time this season, the Dees have made just one change at selection, looking to take a steady line up on the road in Round 8.
While the Demons will be heading to Queensland full of confidence after defeating Hawthorn last Saturday, they won’t be taking Gold Coast lightly. The Suns enter the game in strong form after challenging West Coast in Perth last weekend and claiming three victories so far in 2019.
Although the Demons haven’t played at Metricon Stadium since 2016, they will be looking to extend their six-game winning streak over Gold Coast this weekend.
