A WIN ON THE ROAD has seen the Demons claim all 20 votes from the coaches in Round 8.

And it was Olivia Purcell who was unanimously deemed best afield, polling a perfect 10 for her massive 32-disposal outing.

Purcell’s career-high effort spurred Melbourne to a 49-point victory over the Suns at Metricon Stadium, taking it to second spot on the AFLW ladder.

When it came to the next best performer, the coaches found it difficult to separate three Dees, with Tayla Harris, Shelley Heath and Lily Mithen sharing five votes each.

Harris has hit her straps in recent weeks, and while she didn’t register the first goal of the game for the first time in a month, she made up for that quickly with three majors throughout the match.

Heath’s outing was equally as impressive, as the 160cm gun racked up a career-high 20 disposals, while Mithen had 24 touches of her own.

Eliza West was recognised with three votes for her 19-disposal, 11-tackle effort, taking her to a total of 34 votes for the season.

Rounding out the polling was Kate Hore, who booted two goals to receive two votes.

The Demons now have two players in the top-20 on the AFLCA MVP leaderboard, with West sitting in equal 13th place and Purcell in equal 17th (31 votes).
