MELBOURNE’S Jordan Ivey will be sidelined for a further week, as the small forward manages a minor foot injury.
Ivey missed the team's Round 5 match against Carlton, with the club’s AFLW High Performance Manager Sam Batterton positive that a return would be on the cards in the upcoming couple of weeks.
"Jordi had a minor flare up of an old foot injury over the last week and as a result missed last weekend's game," Batterton said.
"This will keep her out of this weekend’s game against Fremantle, but we hope for her to be available shortly after Round 6.
In good news for the team's backline, Sinead Goldrick returned to the playing side on Friday night after fives weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury.
"Goldie made a successful return to playing over the weekend which was very pleasing and got through the game with no issues," Batterton said.
