Melbourne's ruck stocks will be back to full strength on Thursday night, with Max Gawn and Luke Jackson returning to the side’s starting 22.
On Wednesday morning, ahead of the group’s final pre-game session, Simon Goodwin confirmed that Gawn and Jackson would be additions to the Round 17 team.
"They're itching to get out there and play,” Goodwin said.
"They're a big part of our footy team and to get them both back in at once is really exciting."
Mitch Brown and Sam Weideman have been omitted from the side, with Jake Melksham, Adam Tomlinson and Jayden Hunt joining Weideman on the team’s emergency list.

Melbourne will travel down the highway on Thursday night to Geelong's sanctum of GMHBA Stadium. Tickets to the much-anticipated clash are available now.

Public Transport
Geelong is approximately one hour from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station, with the Geelong Railway Station situated 1.8 kilometres to the north of the stadium and South Geelong Station located 450 metres to the east. Making ‘getting to the stadium’ simple and convenient.
Public Bus Stops are located along Moorabool Street, directly opposite Gate 5 – Bernie Smith (river end) and Gate 1 – Polly Farmer (city end).
Please note: The bus routes are subject to change based on road closures along Moorabool Street – these will be implemented for specific Major Events and you should continue to monitor the Kardinia Park website for updates.
Parking
Limited public car parking is available within the Kardinia Park Precinct.
For most Major Events, a parking fee will be applied, and should there be a large crowd, car parks will be held for 10 minutes post any event to allow for the safe egress of pedestrians.
A drop off area is located at car park A2 which can be accessed via the main entry into Kardinia Park, Kilgour Street.
On Major Event days, Accessible Parking will now be located in the C7 parking area for patrons with an Accessible Parking Permit.

Arrive early
With the process for admission including more steps in 2022, we are encouraging fans to arrive early to GMHBA Stadium to ensure fans are inside in time for the match start.
The entry process will now include security bag checks, scanning of ticket and finding your spot to enjoy the game live.
We encourage supporters to download their ticket prior to their arrival at GMHBA Stadium.
