MELBOURNE will unveil its first debutant of 2022 on Monday, with Daniel Turner set to pull on the red and blue against the Magpies.
Last year’s mid-season draftee, who is known as ‘Disco’ to his teammates, will slot into a role down back after some strong form at VFL level.
The 20-year-old learned his fate at Casey Fields on Friday, with Jake Lever revealing the news in the Demons’ warm-up ahead of training.
Standing at 194 centimetres, the defender can play a key position role, while possessing a natural ability to intercept the ball in the air.
Turner, who grew up in Albury, made the move to Melbourne last year, and now lives with Angus Brayshaw’s parents, alongside teammates Judd McVee and Taj Woewodin.
Melbourne’s final line-up for the Queen’s Birthday match will be revealed at 4:30pm on Saturday.
