There’s plenty of quality players flooding back into Casey’s VFL line-up on Sunday as five AFL-listed stars come back into the Demons team.

The Demons will face Southport with a bolstered side after scrambling late in the last quarter to defeat Box Hill last Sunday.

Casey will be looking to maintain its undefeated streak at its home fortress at Casey Fields, with young Tommy McRae pulling on the red and blue.

Corey Ellison will make a welcome return to his post down back, while last year’s Melbourne mid-season recruit Daniel Turner will play his first VFL game for 2022.

After playing in the AFL side last week that defeated Hawthorn at the MCG, Jake Melksham, Luke Dunstan, Sam Weideman and two-goal hero Toby Bedford will all run out for Casey against the Sharks in Round 7.

Unfortunately, the massive wave of players returning means seven can count themselves unlucky to miss out on a game for the Demons this Sunday.

Riley Baldi, Jack Bell and Bryce Milford have all performed admirably for the Demons in the past few weeks but will sit out in Round 7.

Joining the trio will be Matthew Johnson, Harvey Neocleus and Zac Andrewartha, while Luca Goonan also makes way.

If fans can’t get down to Casey Fields on Sunday afternoon for the Southport clash, they can watch the live stream on the AFL website from 12.35PM.
