FORWARD line development coach Paul Satterley reviews the Melbourne-listed players who featured in Casey’s 31-point loss to Box Hill at Casey Fields last Saturday

Dom Barry: Dom showed some dash with his run and carry, and his willingness to take the game on. Just needs to build consistency in his game, as he continues to gain experience playing senior football.

Mitch Clisby: Mitch continued to take the game on with his speed and ability; he won plenty of the ball off half-back.

Tom Couch: Tom won plenty of contested ball, his form at VFL level has been solid throughout the pre-season.

Troy Davis: Troy defended well throughout the game and positioned himself so that he could offer offensive movement as well, taking a number of intercept marks.

Michael Evans: Michael worked himself into the game with his run and link through the midfield. The pleasing aspect is that Michael is continuing to back up from week to week after completing a full pre-season.

Max Gawn: In his first game of football for 18 months, Max got through unscathed and would have gained a lot of confidence from his performance, which was very encouraging.

Neville Jetta: Nev defended well and spent time on the wing.

Dean Kent: Dean kicked 1.3; he also laid a number of good tackles.

James Magner: Jimmy won a heap of the ball and led the way with his clearances.

Tom McDonald: Tom got through the game and showed that he has recovered fully from his injury. He will certainly push for senior selection after a solid performance in this game.

James Strauss: James played half-back and is being encouraged to take the game on and back his kicking skills.

Rory Taggert: Rory played up forward and won some hard contested ball. We just need to see a more consistent involvement in games over four quarters.

Dean Terlich: Dean played with speed and took the opposition on, winning 33 disposals from half-back.

Jack Trengove: Jack has now played two VFL games and has demonstrated that his match fitness is very good.

Josh Tynan: Josh is improving with each game and having more involvements playing in defence.
