MELBOURNE made history on Saturday, in more ways than one.
In what was the first official AFLW match to take place on the hallowed turf of the MCG, the Demons cemented their maiden spot in a NAB AFLW Grand Final.
After a tight contest in the first half, Melbourne pushed to the front in the third quarter, narrowly holding the lead and defeating the reigning premiers, the Brisbane Lions, by four points in front of over 6,000 fans at the 'G.
