The Demons will be intent on continuing their undefeated season when they take on the VFLW powerhouses on Saturday morning.
With the Pies having been up the top of the ladder for numerous VFLW seasons past, Casey gets the chance to confirm its reputation as the team to beat on Collingwood’s home turf.
It’ll do so with a different side, as Melbourne’s AFLW preliminary final at the MCG on the weekend means some AFLW-listed talent who took the field for the Demons last week in their 89-point drubbing of the Southern Saints will miss.
But it only opens up more opportunity for VFLW-listed players, with Monica Harasimiuk, Stephanie Rummel, Brooke Borchard, Tara Reiter and Laura Wales all returning to the side and looking to contribute to the winning momentum.
Tahlia Gillard, Maddi Gay, Eliza West and Sarah Lampard are all unavailable this weekend due to AFLW commitments.
