MELBOURNE will head into its Friday night clash against Essendon with no changes to its starting 22.

The Demons, who are returning to Melbourne off a 13-point win over Gold Coast, are opting to back the same line-up that proved to be the winning formula in Round 2.

Toby Bedford, Jake Melksham, Sam Weideman and Luke Dunstan will once again make up the side’s emergency list.

Forward coach Greg Stafford previewed the Round 3 game on Thursday, explaining that the team were expecting the Bombers to bring the pressure.

“No doubt they’re a dangerous side,” Stafford told Melbourne Media.

“We prepare for an opposition’s best, and their best is very, very good.

“They have no problem putting points on when they get their game going.

“It’s up to us to restrict that, stop that and at the same time get our game going.”

The Friday night clash will take place on the MCG, with the first bounce scheduled for 7:20pm (AEDT).

Tickets are available here and for those supporters who aren’t able to attend the game, live broadcast is available via the Seven Network.

Melbourne is also encouraging its fans to enjoy a full weekend of Demons’ footy at the ‘G, with the club’s AFLW side set to take on the Brisbane Lions in a ground-breaking Preliminary Final on Saturday.

The game is free for all fans to attend with tickets redeemable via Ticketek.
