MELBOURNE has booked a ticket to a Preliminary Final, following a down-to-the-wire win over Carlton on Saturday night. 

The Demons faced the Blues at Casey Fields in what was a special round for the home side,  celebrating Libby Birch's 50th AFLW game and showing their support for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) in a Pink Sports Day.

The game itself turned out to be a tight battle between the two sides, with Melbourne just hanging on in the dying minutes to take away a one-point win and their 13th consecutive victory at Casey Fields.
