THE PAST will join the present when Melbourne’s 2021 AFL Premiership Flag is unfurled at the MCG in Round 1.
In what will make for a special moment, eight club legends will come together to take part in official flag bearer proceedings on the hallowed turf.
Former Demons Ron Barassi, Hassa Mann, Greg Wells, Stan Alves, Garry Lyon, Todd Viney, David Neitz and Nathan Jones will all be involved, in a nod to history and each of their significant contributions to the club.

The impressive octet, which is representative of the decades between the 1964 and 2021 premierships, has also featured as part of Melbourne’s new brand campaign titled Demon Spirit.
Embracing the fire within all whose hearts beat true, the long-lasting campaign speaks to the club’s values, while celebrating its past, present and future.
The launch of Demon Spirit comes just 15 days out from the opening round blockbuster, where the Dees will meet the Western Bulldogs in a grand final rematch.
Then. Now. Forever.
