AFTER a tiresome block of pre-season training, matches have finally arrived for Melbourne's AFL side, with the Demons scheduled to have a competitive hit-out for the first time since the 2021 AFL Grand Final.
Come Thursday morning, the Dees will face North Melbourne in an unofficial practice match at Casey Fields, which will be open to the public and free of charge.
With gates opening at 10.30am and proceedings kicking off at 11am, Victorian based fans have the opportunity to watch their home team in the flesh for the first time since Round 16 last year.
If supporters can't make it along, the game will be broadcasted on Kayo Sports.
As the Demons continue their preparation for Round 1, they will meet Carlton on Thursday the 3rd of March at Marvel Stadium in their sole AAMI Community Series match.
