MELBOURNE will head into its second week of the 2022 AFLW season with a strong list, following no serious injuries in its Round 1 win.
Melbourne’s Senior Coach Mick Stinear said Demon Lily Mithen was fine to return to training, after the midfielder came off during the game with a suspected ankle injury.
“Lily had rolled an ankle in-game, but thankfully has pulled up really well and she'll be right to train and play Friday night against Richmond,” Stinear said.
Four of the six players who were unavailable under the AFL's Health and Safety Protocols will return to training and will be available for selection in the side's Round 2 match against Richmond.
Olivia Purcell continues to progress well in her rehabilitation of a knee injury, while Isabella Simmons remains sidelined with a foot injury.
