THE Dees secured a 19-point win over Collingwood on Saturday in their final hit-out ahead of the Christmas break.
Melbourne hosted the official practice match at Casey Fields on what turned out to be a day filled with a relay of tough weather conditions, including 30-degree heat and a lightning delay at the first break.
A solid display from the home side saw them walk away victors, the final score sitting at 6.5 (41)
to 3.4 (22).
